Pant was bought for a record price of Rs 27 crore last year but has failed to live up to his high billing especially with the bat. He has only managed 106 runs with 1 fifty against CSK and a shocking strike-rate which is below 100.
LSG are set to get a massive boost with their tearaway pace bowler Mayank Yadav finally set to be in action after regaining his fitness. He was set to play in last match against Rajasthan Royals but three early wickets meant LSG had to call up Ayush Badoni in place of Mayank as the ‘Impact Sub’.
DC also received some good news with their vice-captain Faf du Plessis regaining fitness and involve in a long net session ahead of Tuesday’s match. It will be interesting to see if Du Plessis will return to DC playing 12.
