India, having two of their bowlers take two wickets each, could not get to New Zealand’s target of 20 overs blessed with Kane Williamson’s brilliant batting. Team Kiwis needed some extra time; they matched India’s score of 179 runs in 20 overs. Therefore, this match had to be decided with the Super Over rules.
