New Delhi: Former Indian team spinner Ravichandran Ashwin believes that Rishabh Pant should be compared to former captain Virat Kohli. He said that he impressed in the first Test against England. Let us tell you that wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant performed brilliantly in the first Test match played in Leeds. He set a series of records by scoring centuries in both innings.

In the Test match played at Headingley, Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant created history by scoring a century in the second consecutive innings. He showed his tremendous form and completed the eighth century of his Test career in just 130 balls. Pant had earlier completed his seventh Test century in 146 balls in the first innings. With this, Pant became the first Indian to score a century in both innings of a Test match in England. Apart from this, he is the seventh Indian to score a century in both innings of a Test.

With this, Pant became the second wicketkeeper batsman after Andy Flower to score centuries in both innings of a Test. This legendary Zimbabwean batsman played an unbeaten innings of 142 in the first innings and 199 in the second innings against South Africa in 2001. Now, Pant scored 134 in the first innings and 118 in the second innings against England. England won the first test
