WATCH: Rohit Sharma forgets THIS after win – and it’s not his phone or passport! Check out the hilarious moment that left fans in splits.

New Delhi: Rohit Sharma has a reputation for occasionally forgetting his passport, phone, and other items. However, on Sunday, the Indian cricket captain left the trophy in the media room following the post-match press conference. During the conference, Rohit discussed various interesting topics, including his retirement, after India won against New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy final. Once the press conference concluded, he forgot to take the trophy with him, prompting a support staff member to retrieve it and remind him of the important item he had left behind.
Rohit has a reputation for being forgetful occasionally, having left his passport and phones on the team bus and at hotels in the past. However, fans were surprised that he forgot to collect the prestigious Champions Trophy that he had recently won.
Rohit recently addressed his future in One Day Internationals, stating that he does not plan to retire from this format in the near future, which followed a moment of forgetfulness.
Rohit clarified during the post-match press conference, following India’s four-wicket victory over New Zealand to secure the trophy, that he has no plans to retire from the ODI format and requested that no rumors be circulated regarding this matter.
He was predictably asked about his future intentions, and he responded that the current situation will continue unchanged.
“No future plans. Jo ho raha hain, woh chalta jayega (Whatever is happening will keep continuing),” Rohit added.
Rohit mentioned that his proactive strategy during the Power Play phase was a deliberate choice made with a particular objective. The Mumbai player started strong in the initial 10 overs, scoring 49 runs before being dismissed for a total of 76 runs off 83 balls.

“I haven’t changed my approach today compared to the last 3-4 matches. I understand the significance of scoring runs during the Power Play, as it becomes challenging after 10 overs when the field is spread and spinners come into play.” The characteristics of the Dubai pitch also influenced his decision to adopt a more aggressive batting style.
“It becomes tough also because the pitch is already slow. So, it is very important for you to take chances from the top.
“I choose the bowler and determine when to attack him and when to execute my shot. As a result, you might not notice many high scores. After the first 10 overs today, I adjusted my approach slightly because I needed to bat for an extended period,” he mentioned.
