New Delhi: MS Dhoni has always had a distinctive approach when it comes to sharing his future decisions. His announcement of retiring from international cricket via an Instagram post on India’s Independence Day in 2020 took many by surprise. Over the years, there has been constant speculation regarding his participation in the Indian Premier League. Now, it appears that Dhoni has communicated a ‘clear’ message to his followers as the IPL 2025 season approaches.

“One last time” was reportedly written on MS Dhoni’s T-shirt when he landed in Chennai on Wednesday, February 26. However, staying true to his characteristic style, the message wasn’t direct – it was encoded in Morse code, a communication method that uses dots and dashes. After some fans noticed it on social media, we decided to ask OpenAI’s ChatGPT to help decode the Morse code.

Dhoni has arrived at the Chennai Super Kings’ pre-season camp as they get ready for IPL 2025, which kicks off on March 21. The code on his T-shirt was visible as he walked out of the Chennai airport on Wednesday.

  • — -. .
  • .-….- … –
  • – .. — .

It was revealed that ChatGPT pointed out a minor error in the encoding of the word ‘last’ on the T-shirt.

Here’s how “ONE LAST TIME” should look in Morse code:

  • ONE | — -. .
  • LAST | .-.. .- … –
  • TIME | – .. — .

Dhoni shared his thoughts on what drives him to continue playing at 43 in the IPL. The captain with five titles under his belt explained that he dedicates 6-8 months each year to prepare for the two-month IPL season. Since stepping down from international cricket, Dhoni has made it a habit to join CSK’s pre-season camps well before many of his teammates.

“For me, my biggest motivation was that contribution to make India win. Now that I’ve retired from international cricket, I can’t say it’s the same, but for me now, it’s the love for the sport,” Dhoni said at a promotional event in Chennai.
