MCC extends Round 1 Counselling registration date for PwD candidates; Check details here

Candidates who have not yet applied for the NEET UG counselling can now check the revised dates on the official MCC website – mcc.nic.in and apply accordingly.

NEET UG 2025: The Medical Council Committee (MCC) has extended the deadline for registering for round one counselling for PwBD candidates. According to the revised schedule, the candidates can complete their NEET UG registration till August 3, 2025. The Committee received several emails from candidates regarding the delay in obtaining certificates from designated disability centres; and because of this, the deadline for MCC has been extended. It is also to be noted that the seat allotment for the NEET UG 2025 round one will be released on August 6. Candidates who have not yet applied for the NEET UG counselling can now check the revised dates on the official MCC website – mcc.nic.in and apply accordingly.

NEET UG 2025: Key Details and Deadlines

• Candidates will now be able to register for the Round 1 Counselling till 3 PM August 3.
• The Processing fee can be submitted till 4 PM August 3.
• Candidates can select and choose their course and college of preference till 11:59 Pm August 3.
• The choice locking window will be open from 6 PM to 11:55 PM on August 3.
• Furthermore, the NEET UG round one seat processing will take place between 4^th and 5^th August 2025.
• The Round-1 counselling results are scheduled to be released on August 6.
• Finally, candidates who are allotted seats will have to report to their respective institutions between 7th August and 11th August 2025 to complete the admission process.

NEET UG 2025: Steps to Register for Round 1 Counselling

For the convenience of the candidates we have provided the steps through which you can register for round 1 of Counselling process:

Step 1. Go to the official website – mcc.nic.in
Step 2. Click on the “UG Medical Counselling” section.
Step 3. Enter the asked credentials to log in and register.
Step 4. Pay the processing fees to complete the application form .
Step 5. Upload necessary documents (NEET scorecard, photo ID, category certificate, etc.)
Step 6. Select and lock your college and course of preference
Step 7. Download the confirmation page for future reference 

This counselling process reportedly covers 15% of All India Quota seats in medical and dental colleges. Apart from this, 17 AIIMS are offering around 2,000 MBBS seats, 507 BSc nursing seats across nine institutions, and nearly 14,000 seats in deemed universities
