Ria Dabi, the sister of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Tina Dabi, has been ranked 15th in the Civil Services exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in 2020.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Examination is considered one of the most difficult competitive exams. Candidates interested in joining the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) must clear three stages: the Prelims, the Mains, and the Personality test. Some of the most well-known and motivational IAS officers are Tina Dabi and her sister, Ria Dabi. They have a huge fan following on several social media platforms, including Instagram. Tina Dabi is married to her fellow IAS officer Pradeep Gawande, while Ria Dabi is married to IPS officer Manish Kumar. Together, they continue to inspire millions of UPSC aspirants throughout the country.
Recently, Ria Dabi, an IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre, married an IPS officer of the Maharashtra cadre, Manish Kumar. However, the news became public when the Ministry of Home Affairs published a note regarding Manish Kumar’s transfer of cadre from Maharashtra to Rajasthan. The note specifically mentioned that the reason for the transfer cadre was his marriage to IAS officer Ria Dabi, who is stationed in Rajasthan.
IAS officer Ria Dabi and IPS officer Manish Kumar, who are both from the UPSC 2021 batch, met as friends. According to media reports, the two met during training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, and their friendship gradually developed into a romantic relationship. Later, the two married through a court marriage in April 2024 with family blessings. After their wedding, Manish Kumar applied for a cadre transfer, which was subsequently approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The official announcement about their cadre transfer was reportedly released on June 16, 2024.

Tina Dabi topped the UPSC Civil Services 2015 exam. The two are both graduates of Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, and are currently both serving in the state of Rajasthan. Tina Dabi is the Barmer District Collector.
Manish Kumar, hailing from Delhi, chose to pursue a career in civil services after earning his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree. He achieved an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 581 in the UPSC 2020 examination.
IAS officer Ria Dabi completed her schooling at the Convent of Jesus and Mary in New Delhi. She later graduated with a degree in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi. At the age of 23, Ria cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination in her very first attempt, securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 15.
