New Delhi: Jitesh Sharma pulled off a brilliant catch to dismiss explosive opener Jake Fraser-McGurk in the IPL 2025 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday, April 10. The wicketkeeper’s effort further dented DC’s pursuit, leaving them at 10/2.
The right-handed batter was dismissed for seven runs off six balls. This marked his third poor outing in four games this season, with scores of 0, 38, 1, and 7 (today). The Capitals had retained him for a hefty INR 9 crore during the IPL 2025 mega auction.
The wicket fell in the third over of Delhi’s chase. Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivered a length ball outside off, which seamed away after pitching. Jake attempted a wild shot across the line but could only manage a top edge that soared high into the night sky.
Jitesh shifted to his left, tracking the ball closely as he fumbled with it before diving to secure the catch. The replays revealed that he got a finger on it but displayed excellent reflexes to cling onto the ball and prevent it from slipping out of his grasp.
