The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has postponed its 71st Integrated Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination 2025, moving the exam from September 10 to September 13, 2025.

BPSC 71st CCE Prelims Postponed: In a significant development for Bihar students who are planning to give the BPSC exam this year, the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has postponed its 71st Integrated Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination 2025. The commission also notified that the Assistant Section Officer, BPSC (Preliminary) competitive exam under the advertisement number – 37/2025 is going to be conducted on September 10th instead of September 13th 2025 allegedly switching the exam schedules for both the exams.
BPSC CCE Prelims Exam: What’s the new date?
Students should note that the BPSC 71st integrated exam, which was going to take place on September 10th will now take place on September 13th, 2025. The total number of vacancies comes out to a sum of 1,298 after addition of 34 vacancies to the 71st CCE by the BPSC.
BPSC CCE Prelims Exam: Check Eligibility
⦁ Candidates must hold at least a graduation degree.
⦁ Graduation equivalent degrees are also considered.
⦁ Additionally, candidates must meet a post-wise age limit to be eligible to appear for the exam.

For female candidates, the recruitment drive consists of 429 female vacancies out of 1,298 total vacancies.
BPSC CCE Prelims Exam: About
The prelims for BPSC CCE examinations filters out proficient candidates and allows them to further appear for the BPSC CCE mains examinations. The exam is an objective based examination with 150 multiple choice questions (MCQs) that are to be attempted within 120 minutes. Candidates will be awarded 1/3rd negative marking for each wrong answer in the prelims.
BPSC CCE Prelims Exam: What’s the Exam Fees
Notably, candidates are required to pay Rs 200 for biometrics and Rs 600 for the test. Candidates reserved under SC, ST candidates of Bihar, female candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar and persons with disability (PWD) with more than 40% are required to pay a sum of Rs. 150 only.
